Save the 90's

every asshole claims their generation has the best music. 90's fucking ruled, end of story. Saturday night, I went to a bonfire party and a boombox blasting 90's alt rock was definately key. You don't realize that a New Radicals song can get you that fucking amped. Get out your tee shirt/vest combo (or XL Yankee Jersey,) your LA gears and oversized cargo pants, because the 90's aren't gonna die in our lifetime. I'll make sure to get the feed of 90's sexrock on here soon.

hot shit hot damn

Fooligans:

I have had planned to rave about some good albums, but that doesn't matter. Only one this is to be discussed in this post.

Omar Rodriguez Lopez: Se Dice Bisonte, No es Bufalo.

dear god, can I just say that this album is great? I'm listening to track 3 right now and so far, so amazing.

Luxary of Infancy
The first notes played on the album, they are some good ones. This song marks the beginning new era for Omar. His music is so much more melodic on this album, all songs go somewhere in a smooth motion. No sensory overload here.

2 words: RAPIDFIRE TOLLBOOTH
a feature of the Mars Volta for a year, it has changed so much over time (mostly because of Thomas Pridgeon's crazy energy.) Holy christ is this song crazy. So sassy, so elitist, so majestic. HO GOD.

Boiling Death Request
Middle eastern guitar scales. Starts with a hot groove and these badass parts come in and just slice apart your minddd.

La Tirania De La Tradicion
This song is so At the Drive In. This song is so different from what Omar has been doing for the past few years. This song is crazy. This album is amazing.

Get this album.

later, much

Sounds create emotions, emotions create sounds

Show me transient music that defies the barrier of sound and takes control of the body and all of its senses. Rock and Roll.

The Flaming Lips- Fight Test

The Flaming Lips- Turn it On

Yin and Yang

sparks and violence in music:

click it (sadly I can't embed this, but DON'T PASS THIS UP)

A perfect Time Capsule of
Knut Schreiner
Displaying his guitarific prowess

Turbonegro-
Best export from Norway in my opinion
Gimme Five (song from the video above, very sick guitar pyrotechnics)
Prince of the Rodeo
(yeah, they were on Viva La Bam, who cares, they are a good rock band, pretty much the only rock I listen to these days)
Knut Schreiner is a fucking genius

Turbonegro- High on the Crime

rainy day music:

Broken Social Scene-
I'm Still Your Fag
Shampoo Suicide
Looks Just Like the Sun

this has a very Garden State feel to it. Really cool stuff, get the album You Forgot it in The People

Phoenix review, more on Broken Social Scene, Steve Malkmus, My Bloody Valentine and other garbage in the next update

tres ojosssss

Knut Schreiner- A Scandinavian Genius

Sup ratssss

I was wrong, I declare. Ataxia is good, its unique, and its worth it that you listen to them.

Ataxia- The Sides

Here is some FRESH music that is straight off my mp3 player:

wilco- shouldn't be ashamed
Stephen Malkmus- Discretion Grove
Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah- Over and Over

The seasons change; go figure. here are some summer songs from some summer bands
Against Me:
I met some crazy hippie folk neo-punk backpacking this summer. He was playing an acoustic version of Baby, I'm an Anarchist. Pretty solid band, kind of like a toned down version of At the Drive In/ Sparta, or Rise Against. Rock and Roll.
Miami
Justin
Unprotected Sex With Multiple Partners
(off of Searching For a Former Clarity)
8 Full Hours of Sleep
Baby, I'm an Anarchist
Sink Florida Sink
Unsubstantiated Rumors
(Off Reinventing Axl Rose, a fantastic title for an album, in my opinion)

The Euroboys:
Let me just say that this band gets NO credit in America. Hailing from Norway and led by THE musical genius Knut Schreiner, this band is all about summer. Knut is the only guitarist that doesn't create boring and insincere solos (besides Steve Malkmus, Omar Rodiguez Lopez and John Frusciante); so much soul, elitism and sexiness, it further convinces me that most Americans are music morons. I challenge you to listen to this during the summer, its perfect.
Turn That Sound Up
Come on In Your Time is Up
Smash it to Pieces
(Off of Getting out of Nowhere)
Rubber City Revolution
(Off of Jet Age)
Filadelfia
Party Animal
1999 Man
Break Away
(singles)

The Euroboys- Break Away

Sparta- Collapse

alright hooligans, I'll meet up with yall latray. Expect an extensive update with some FRESH indie sex rock. I just got some albums by PHOENIX, BELLE AND SEBASTION, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE, STEPHEN MALKMUS, THE MAGNETIC FIELDS and THOMAS DYLLENGER
